Ah, the infamous guest list – a.k.a. the root of all evil. I’m just kidding [kind of] 😉 I get a lot of questions throughout the planning process, but a majority of them in some way, shape, or form relate back to the guest list. So, let’s tackle this one together, okay?
Did your grandparents ever tell you that when they were your age, “they walked to school uphill both ways”? No? Just mine? Okay, well you get the gist. Basically, that’s what Monday’s used to feel like for me. It was a never-ending uphill climb just to get through the day. No amount of coffee could do the trick, and I would find myself struggling to focus and get things done. You know the feeling, don’t you? I bet you do. I can sense the head-nodding and endless yes’s all the way over here 😉
The holidays – specifically Christmas, New Years and Valentine’s Day – are prime engagement season. Personally, I think it makes the holiday season that much more exciting (and shiny!), but now is when the real fun begins. Let the planning begin!
If you got engaged recently, you’ve probably spent the last few months celebrating with friends and family. Now that the celebrations have started to calm down, you’re daydreaming about all of the possibilities your wedding day holds and are ready to get this planning party started. I hear ya, sister – that’s my jam. When brides get to this point, the question I hear most often is: “Where do I start?!”. Today, I’m breaking down my top 5 things to do after getting engaged.
To quote Queen B: Who Runs the World? Girls.
Today is International Women’s Day, and I for one have spent the day celebrating all the beautiful women in my life. I am so fortunate to have been raised by, and continually choose to surround myself with, strong women. Every day, I am inspired and empowered by the women in my life. There are a lot of things that I’m uncertain of, but there is one thing I know without a doubt: women are powerful, especially together. This world has a way of teaching us that we should tear each other down; that it’s always a competition. But, here’s the thing, when we bind together, we are an unstoppable force.
I’m the first person to admit that I am a total nerd… like, big time. Don’t believe me? When I was a kid, if I wasn’t listening or I was misbehaving, my ‘punishment’ was that I wasn’t allowed to read my books at night, hah! Okay, now that I got that out in the open, I want to let you know that I am totally geeking out over my 2017 Business Book List. I’ve already started on a few and am lovin’ them, but I’m equally as excited about the ones I have to look forward to. The thing is, I know I’m not the only super nerd out there. So, I wanted to share my book list in case anyone else wanted to join me in reading them this year. A little #magnoliaandgracebookclub, anyone?!
Without further ado, here’s my 2017 Business Book List:
Today is my 26th birthday. I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that another year has gone by, but here we are in spite of it! 25 was a pretty incredible year. It was full of adventure, travel, new beginnings, old friends and the start of Magnolia & Grace. I have no doubt that 26 will be equally amazing.
To celebrate my birthday, I decided to create a list of 26 goals for my 26th year. My word for 2017 is ambitious [more on that to come!] and I’m starting the year off with a brand new business, so this seemed like the next natural step. While some of these may seem a little silly or simple, my hope is that these smaller moments will amount to something much greater. So, without further ado, here they are!
